Size: Much larger than standard garden worms, reaching 4 cm to over 10 cm in length and weighing up to 8 grams.
Fishing Use: Highly prized for catching freshwater and native species like Murray cod, golden perch (yellowbelly), trout, bass, and redfin.
Presentation: You can fish them unweighted, under a float, or with a small ball sinker depending on the current and depth. Some anglers gently inject a tiny bit of air into the worm with a bait needle to help it float off the bottom
They stay active and secure on the hook for a long time due to their tough skin.
