Samurai Reaction

The Reaction Series of spin rods is Samurai’s most popular rod range and the cornerstone of Samurai’s never-ending focus on design and technology. Incredibly light and exceptionally well-balanced, it uses Samurai’s Multi-Axial Carbon Matrix Laminate Construction formed with a high-strength Toray T1100 layup featuring three strategically oriented layers of carbon fibre, specifically developed to deliver incredible response. Combined with a never-seen-before six axis over-wrap technology, the Reaction series has a blank with minimal lineal twist, offering unbeatable pulling power and superior casting.

To build the lightest and best rods anywhere on the market, new technology has been adopted including Fuji’s TCH Carbon/Titanium reel seats that reduce weight when used in conjunction with class-leading Fuji Titanium SiC guides. Pick one up and feel the difference.

All Samurai Reaction rods come with a neoprene sleeve to protect the carbon butt end while travelling.

Blank Tech

T1100 Carbon Matrix Cloth

Toray T1100G is widely regarded as the industry benchmark for high-end rod construction. Known for its exceptional tensile strength and stiffness, T1100G delivers powerful load control, fast recovery and precise energy transfer through the blank.

Multi-axial laminate construction

The blank uses three opposing layers of T1100 cloth bonded with specialised resin which is then hot-press baked under pressure to ensure no surplus resin remains, forming a single, strong, lightweight structure with its own task specific recipe.

Six-Axial Overwrap

The most advanced coating we use featuring six ways graphite reinforcing for the butt end of the Reaction and Refraction ranges. Crucial for lure casting where quick force needs to be applied.
