The Shimano Slakka rod is a purpose-built rod for saltwater anglers who rely on Sabiki rigs to catch baitfish quickly and efficiently. Designed with a guide-free, large-diameter blank and a flared trumpet tip, the Slakka allows the entire rig—including multiple hooks up to size 2/0—to be smoothly retrieved and stored inside the rod, leaving only the sinker exposed. This eliminates tangles, snags, and wasted time when bait schools appear. Measuring 7’5” and built in two pieces, the Slakka also allows for easy rinsing of rigs while stored inside.
